The direct exchange of information between all participants of traffic in real-time with low latency called V2X (vehicle to everything, x: V=vehicle, I=infrastructure, P=pedestrian) is an important aspect of future traffic concepts improving safety, optimization of the traffic flow and enabling autonomous driving.

The S.E.A. research partner Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt applies the Software Defined Radio (SDR) based on the S.E.A. V2X interface for the implementation of the physical interface for V2X communication in the "Car2X-Labor" of CARISSMA. The implementation with the SDR provides unique capabilities for the controlled simulation of V2X situations including errors and high load simulation (congestion) with one physical interface It is integrated with the simulation system of the lab by a C++ interface. S.E.A. and CARISSMA are working together in the SAFIR research project. |
