Module Versions

The listed modules are available in different versions. All alternatives are listed in the Table below.

Differential GPS

The SEA GPS receiver uses DGPS services via the standard GPS patch antenna and can be activated via the software API. The module detects automatically, which service is available and corrects the GPS position data accordingly. This will correct  GPS signal errors caused by ionospheric disturbances, timing, and satellite orbit errors. The result will be an accuracy in position determination of up to 2 m CEP.

In case the satellite based augmentation service cannot be reached, the modules fall back to the standard GPS reception - e.g. if the correction signal cannot be received due to obstruction of the antenna path (e.g. in cities).

is a U.S. space-based global navigation satellite system. It provides reliable positioning, navigation, and timing services to worldwide users on a continuous basis in all weather, day and night, anywhere on or near the Earth.

The figure shows a GPS segment with 24 GPS satellites (for satellites in each of 6 orbits). The number of visible satellites at a fixed point on earth (45 °N) is displayed.
